Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, an encrypted password credential, and account identifiers. You may also provide a display name, profile image, cover image, biography, region, website, donation link, contact details, and a status message.

Forecast and community content. We store the forecasts, maps, seasonal outlooks, Weather Time Machine results, comments, ratings, follows, saved posts, reposts, reports, and other content or actions you choose to create. Content you publish or choose to display on your profile can be visible to other users.

Purchase information. For web subscriptions, Stripe processes payment details and provides us with customer, subscription, and status identifiers. For iOS subscriptions, Apple processes payment details and provides us with product, transaction, entitlement, and expiration information. For Android subscriptions, Google Play processes payment details and provides us with product, purchase, order, entitlement, and expiration information. Forecast Foundry HQ does not receive your complete card number, Apple ID password, or Google Account password.

Device and support information. If you enable notifications, we store a device push-notification token and notification preference. If you send feedback, we collect your message, page context, account identifier when available, and any reply email you choose to provide.

Basic usage and technical information. We count visits by date and page path using a session marker so we can understand which parts of Forecast Foundry are used. Our hosting and security providers may also process standard request information such as IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, and error or security logs.

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide forecasts, community features, saved work, notifications, and memberships; verify purchases and restore access; prevent fraud and abuse; respond to support requests; maintain and improve Forecast Foundry; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for third-party behavioral advertising, and our mobile apps do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information is shared only as needed with service providers that help operate Forecast Foundry, including Apple for iOS purchases and notifications, Google Play for Android purchases, Stripe for web payments, Resend for account email, and hosting, storage, database, and security providers. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer. Public profile information and published community content are shared with other users according to the choices you make in the service.

We retain account and service information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and document the service. Some purchase, fraud-prevention, moderation, backup, and legal records may be retained after account deletion when required or reasonably necessary.

You can update profile information and notification preferences in the app. You can cancel an Apple subscription in your Apple subscription settings, an Android subscription in Google Play, or a web subscription through the available web billing controls. You can request or perform account deletion from the Forecast Foundry account page; active paid access may need to end before deletion is completed.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Forecast Foundry HQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
