My northern-storm-track fall outlook

I placed the strongest wet signal from the northern Plains into the Great Lakes, while keeping the Southeast drier. This is a different conceptual forecast—not another El Niño copy.

I agree with the active southern stream, but I shifted my strongest wet signal toward the Gulf Coast and Southeast because the analog blend was more consistent there.

Interesting. Did the negative PDO lower your Upper Midwest precipitation confidence, or was that mostly the ensemble spread?

Both—but mostly the conflicting analogs. I left that region neutral instead of forcing a wet call.
